MX3 Series Inverters are designed for noise-reduced, open-loop speed control of 3-phase asynchronous motors, high frequency motors and reluctance motors in the power range 22kW up to 1MW. They are intended for cubicle installation and for fixed connection to a 400V AC 50/60Hz supply network. Optional connecting voltages can be specified for 230V or 480V ±10%.
They are particularly suited to applications requiring optimum control of motor-driven fans, pumps or conveyors, where fluctuations in operating conditions often lead to unnecessary running costs in terms of energy consumption.
Comprehensive user features include fully flexible logic inputs and outputs, differential analogue inputs, RS232 and RS485 communications, pluggable terminals and feed through power terminals.
Strong compliance with CE is assured through excellent design. For instance, MX3 Series meets UL Pollution Level 3 (condensation) - most drives only meet Level 2.
Power circuit diagnostics are extensive with no less than five levels of voltage and current surveillance, designed to give tripless operation and set new standards in reliability.
Operation is controlled by the integral operator unit, or, alternatively, via a personal computer. (An operating program is available for the PC mode.) For standard applications, only the parameters in the 'short menu' need to be set.
